Since the early 2000s, Leathertex has invested in skilled people and advanced technologies to establish a production line in China. From 2007 onward, the more basic products have been manufactured there, benefiting from cutting-edge technology, fresh expertise, and lower production costs.
As fashion production grew, transporting goods to and from Europe became increasingly costly and inefficient. Consequently, towards the end of the following decade, a sales office was opened in Wenzhou, where the manufacturing is based.
Since 2018, much of the Leathertex catalog has been available directly from the Chinese office, maintaining the high standards of quality, punctuality, and professionalism that characterize the Italian back office.
This setup allows customers to choose between the convenience of purchasing from Italy or the cost advantages of buying directly from China, with invoicing from Italy and delivery in China.
